This EP consists of demos I wrote in the summer of 2010 for Sub Verso. They were recorded on a really really bad 4 track. Even though at the time we were disbanded, I decided I had to get the ideas out of my head. It was one of the first times I really started to play drums, bass and guitar all on a single song. I never imagined releasing them until the summer of 2012 when I showed the demos to Paris Mygatt of The Exposure. He told me they had a really great quality about them and that I should put this out there.

During Sub Verso's winter tour, I regained my faith in humanity. It was the acts of random kindness that changed the way I felt about people. After the tour, the band decided that we would tour again in the summer and start writing a full length that eventually never happened. At the time, I was thinking of overall themes and ideas that I could write about or be inspired by to get a direction. I try to think of how my feelings about humanity were changed by some very simple acts of kindness and how some people watched over us. It just seemed simple and honest. I starting to look into guardians, watchers, and eventually shepherds. This is why I named the Demos/EP Shepherds.

This was never intended to be shared with the public but it seems to always gain interest to those who had heard it. I can say that one song off this EP was attempted at being recorded by Sub Verso in 2013. *other than Counting Electrical Storms.
